Quick Book

QUICK-TICKET BOOKING ON THIS SITE

  • This form is for users who are well acquainted with the IRCTC Ticket booking Procedure. It provides a mode of booking where in the registered user has an option to populate the form in a single page and proceed to make payments to book the tickets. It is assumed that user is well aware of the fare and Route details of his travel.
  • Register as an individual. Registration is FREE.
  • Login by entering your user name and password.
  • For Quick Book click on the link “QuickBook” on the home page and then log in using your user-id and password or at left navigation under “Services” after login on plan my travel page.

  • Select your train from the list that appears on the screen after clicking the fetch train code option.
  • If the "From/To" station selected by you are correct in the route of the train then :
  • Valid date of booking should be entered.
  • Quota option is available to the customer.
  • Select e-Ticket or i-Ticket option.

  • If you want to know the availability of seats/berths, click on "Show Availability".
  • Payment options are available.
  • On click of "Quick book" You will proceed to Banks for booking with the required Fare.

E-Ticket Cancel

  • e-Tickets can be cancelled on Internet at this website till Chart preparation of the train .Cancellations are not allowed at face to face Railway Counters. If the user wishes to cancel his e-Ticket, he can do so till the time of chart preparation for the train, which is normally 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from the train originating station. For train starting up to 12 noon the chart preparation is usually done on the previous night. He can log on to www.irctc.co.in and go to "Booked Tickets" link and select the ticket to be cancelled and can initiate the cancellation by selecting the passengers to be cancelled. Cancellation would be confirmed online and the refund would be credited back to the account used for booking as for normal Internet tickets. If there is any partial cancellation of ticket, please ensure that a fresh e-reservation slip (Electronic Reservation Slip) is printed separately as done for the original ticket.   • Cancellation of e-Tickets before chart preparation of the train:

    If a confirmed ticket is cancelled more than 24 hrs before the scheduled departure of the train, flat
    cancellation charges shall be deducted @ Rs.70/- for AC First Class/Executive Class, Rs.60/- for AC 2
    Tier/AC 3 Tier/First Class/AC Chair car, Rs.40/- for Sleeper Class and Rs.20/- for Second Class.
    Cancellation charges are per passenger.

    If a confirmed ticket is cancelled within 24 hrs and up to 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train,
    cancellation charges shall be 25% of the fare subject to the minimum flat rate mentioned in the above clause.

    Less than 4 hours before the schedule departure of the train up to chart preparation of the train, 50% of the
    fare paid subject to the minimum cancellation charges.

    Note the Chart preparation time is the time for the chart preparation from the Train Originating Station or
    from the Previous chart Preparation station.
  • Cancellation of e-Tickets after the preparation of Reservation charts:

    For Normal User:- E-ticket cannot be cancelled after chart preparation. Users are requested to use the online TDR filing for such cases and track Status of the refund case through tracking service provided by IRCTC. TDR can be filed only within 30 days of departure day of the train. For filing online TDR , select the ""File TDR"" Link in the left panel under the ""My Transactions"" Menu. For additional information regarding TDR, Select the ""File TDR Procedure"" in the left panel under the ""General"" Menu. IRCTC will forward the claim to Concerned Railways to process the refund and money of refund amount will be credited back to same account through which payment was made after receiving the same from the concerned Railways.     For Agents :- E-ticket cannot be cancelled after chart preparation. Whenever Agents received such a request from their customers they are required to send a mail to etickets@irctc.co.in containing following details.

    IRCTC will file TDR and forward the claim to Concerned Railways to process the refund and money of refund amount will be credited back to Agents account through which payment was made after receiving the same from the concerned Railways.   • For Tatkal Tickets Booked as e-Tickets:

    No refund will be granted on cancellation of confirmed Tatkal tickets. For contingent cancellation and waitlisted Tatkal ticket cancellations, charges will be deducted as per existing Railway rules. Partial cancellation of Tatkal e-tickets is allowed but at least one passenger with ID card printed on ERS/VRM should not be cancelled. On cancellation of all the passengers whose ID card details is printed on ERS/VRM, all the passengers on that e-ticket will be cancelled.
  • Cancellation of e-tickets in case of trains cancelled:

    If the train is marked as "CANCELLED" in PRS due to breaches, floods, accidents etc. full refund is permissible in case the ticket is cancelled within three days of the scheduled departure of the train. In case of e-tickets, such cancellations can be done by the customer through Internet.

I-Ticket Cancel

Cancellation of tickets before departure of trains:

Cancellation of I-Tickets can be done at any computerised reservation counter across the country and a cancellation ticket obtained. NO CASH REFUND will be given. Service Charge is also not refundable. The refund amount will be credited to the respective credit card account electronically, the following day of cancellation. Refund of fare shall be made after deduction of cancellation charge of the fare as follows:
If a RAC/waitlisted is cancelled then Rs. 20/- (Per Passenger) shall be deducted If a confirmed ticket is cancelled more than 24 hrs before the scheduled departure of the train, flat cancellation charges shall be deducted @ Rs.70/- for AC First Class/Executive Class, Rs.60/- for AC 2 Tier/AC 3 Tier/First Class/AC Chair car, Rs.40/- for Sleeper Class and Rs.20/- for Second Class. Cancellation charges are per passenger.

Cancellation of tickets after departure of trains:

I-Tickets can also be cancelled in the above manner, at the boarding station, within 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train and
  • Up to 3 hrs after actual departure of train for tickets up to a distance of 200kms
  • Up to 6 hrs after actual departure of train for tickets up to a distance of 201-500kms.
  • Up to 12 hrs after actual departure of train for tickets over a distance of 500kms.
  • In all the above cases, cancellation charges will be 50% of the fare subject to the minimum flat rate mentioned in the above clause.

    To cancel tickets after the above period:

  • Surrender the I-Ticket with the Station Master and obtain a Ticket Deposit Receipt.
  • Prefer your claim for refund to the following address attaching the original copy of the Ticket Deposit Receipt: General Manager (Operations),

  • IRCTC will process the refund claim with the Railway Administration and refund granted by the Railway shall be credited to your credit card account.
  • Refund claims under above clause may require at least 90days or more for processing.


  • Cancellation of I-tickets in case of trains cancelled:

    I-Ticket can be cancelled up to 72 hrs after the scheduled departure of train at any computerised reservation counter.
